Artist's Comments
This is my husband's newest vehicle. It is a 1972 Buick Riviera Boat Tail. The lines of this car are simply beautiful, the way that it curves and flows. This is what cars used to look like, back when cars were actually designed with the basics of art in mind. True, the cars these days are still beautiful but none seem to be able to live up to how they USED to be made. So many times I have heard 'They don't make cars like they used to...' In many ways that is a good thing...but in others it is not. We are missing the elegant beauty of these machines because people want something 'edgy' or 'mean'. Whatever happened to the simple lines and beauty of an Impala? Or the sexy lines of a Cadillac? Or the speed of a Corvette? The cars that looked like they were going 50 mph when they were standing still?
Forgive the rant, I just wanted you to understand why there are so many vehicles in my Gallery. It is more than just the fact that we are proud of the ones we have. It is the history and the beauty that these machines represent. *gets down off her soap box* Just enjoy the pic. Kay? |

As of September 2009 =ImaginaryRosse joined the project and will be helping us out with the weekly choices. While things have changed over time, the essence of the newsletter is still the same. As of recent, the talented =Behana has joined us in bringing you this weekly newsletter and we are excited to have her on board.
